Hello all,

I'm having a problem installing AIX 5.1 on a F50.
There's already a 4.3.3 installation, and I am using a different, unused disk for the 5.1 installation.

- Booting from "AIX 5L for power V5.1 CD (vol. 1)
- Changing the options to use a different disk
- Starting the install

All the AIX packages get installed, then the system proceeds to install mtools, cdrecord, mkisofs. After that is done, it keeps reading (trying to ?) from the CD, and a few minutes later, gives the message :

Missing Filesets :
------------------
devices.isa_sio.8042
[..]
pci.scsi

and hangs at that point.

I'm never prompted for other CD's, unlike for installation of previous versions of AIX

Any pointers welcome !

You seem to have an old ISA card installed that is not supported under AIX 5.1
Remove the card and repeat the install
