AIX 4.3.1 to 4.3.3 migration upgrade

I am trying to upgrade from AIX 4.3.1 to 4.3.3 using Migration Install. When booting from the Volume1 cd I only get options for Complete and Preservation. Migration is not an option. Is there some reason why I would not get this option?

Don't upgrade that way. Just boot to your normal 4.3.1 install, insert cd1, and do an "Update All" from smit install_update

Migration/Preservation/Overwrite would be used when going from say 4.2.1 to 4.3.2.

Chapter11 is correct but I just wanted to give you additional information as to the "why."
