Hi guys,

Could anybody help me about connecting an Avaya IVR to a S8700 with digital (E1) lines? It works if I administer PRI lines like those connected to PSTN, but it cannot transfer calls back to the PBX. I figured out that it could work if it would be administered as OPS stations (type VRUFD,VRUSA,DS1FD,DS1SA), but I cant find any documentation on web how to configure the DS1 in PBX and the NMS card in IR.
Any sugggestion is greatly appreciated.

Best regards

szuperk,

the preferred way is to use off-premises station interface. ds1 settings for the switch may look like this:
[tt]
DS1 CIRCUIT PACK

Location: 02A09 Name: Cvis ISDN Card0
Bit Rate: 2.048 Line Coding: hdb3

Signaling Mode: CAS

Interconnect: pbx Country Protocol: 1

Interface Companding: alaw CRC? y
Idle Code: 01010100

Slip Detection? y Near-end CSU Type: other
[/tt]

don't forget to add the needed number of stations with type ds1fd.
for the ivr side you should assign a "loop start e1" protocol to the card with default parameters.
this way you could use conversant ports just like live agents, either placing them in auto available split hunt group or make them agents with their own login-ids. note that auto available split/agent feature doesn't insure that ivr is available before placing a call to it. but if you have cti server or map-d board with cvlan application you can use it to make ivr logging in every port just like a real agent does.
