won't grind EOD, can't see "today" sales in BOH, won't grind manually. Aloha keeps looking for "backup gift cert log grind" Have tried repairing trans.log. Historic version 4.019. Can't afford to put the old dog down, any help? Thxs

Go to aloha\history. I believe in that version there will be 2 files, gclog.dbf and a backup of gclog.dbf. If that is the case rename gclog then name the other file to gclog.dbf. Been a long long time on that version but I think thats it.

I probably screwed something up in the Data directory in trying to repair the "can't find" problem which is fine now. Now each morning the terminals are waiting for the previous day to grind. The BOH creates the dated directory which is missing the the GNDDBF30.xxx file. When I copy .xxx file into that directory the FOH is ready for business but I have to manually grind the the previous dated directory. DOB and System dates are all in sync. Any thoughts? Thxs

Look at the debout.g01 in aloha\tmp. This is the debug file for the grind. See if grind is automatically starting after EOD and then failing or if it not starting at all. If it is not starting check to see that disable autogrind is not chekced in store settings, system. If it is starting and failing paste the last 20 or so lines of debout.g01 before the failure to the thread.

Auto grind is not disabled in store settings and is set to auto under system. Here is the debout.g01:

Thx for the help!

Under one of the headers for the control program is a line that reads Auto Grind and Summarize. Be sure that has a check next to it.

Is end of day creating the "done30" file in the dated folders? Grind does not seem to try to start after EOD.

yes it creates the done30, just no gnddbf30.xxx file

Looks like the Aloha.ini file on the master terminal was somehow out of sync. Corrected yesterday, this morning all was well. Thanks very much for the help!
