AGHHH CDE just died for no reason

Hi
I'v just installed staroffice 5.2, loaded opera up then clicked world button to load netscape.
BAM
The screen has gone black, the only thing usuable is the xterm.
What the heck happend?

Try deleting $HOME/.TTauthority and log back in.
