agent sets IAPG programming

could someone please explain IAPG setting 0 or 1? I have not been able to find any real explainationa, and what the set should be programmed to 0 or 1; what each setting means and/or does specifically? I know AST and we are set to use 00 and 01 for that. CS1000 and symposium, genesys in use, along with verint monitoring. Thank you!

(USM) group

IAPG assigns AST DNs to a status message
group defined in LD 15. These groups
determine which status messages are sent for
an AST set. The default Group 0 sends no
messages, while Group 1 sends all
messages.

When we were setting up a call recording system AST told the system what keys to record and IAPG told it to record the calls if set to 1 and not to record if set to 0
