I have an issue with one phone. when the agent presses her login button instead of hearing the three beeps it gives another type tone. I did a trace of the extension and it shows the login button is pressed and the trace shows the following: dial 122~ 1945#. Where other agents that log in don't show the dial pattern at all and they are logging in normal. This agent's phone is not programmed any differently than anyone else who is an agent. I have checked her hunt group, direct agent log in but I can't figure out why her log in is different and it seems that she does not get the number of calls that others do.

did you check the actual extension (not agentID), looks like a button is programmed to automatically login (do something)

I checked everything.....nothing on the extension that was different from anyone else's.....I eventually removed the extension, agent ID and then put it all back in and now it is working perfectly. Thank you for your reply!

So I finally figured this out. I searched and searched and finally found this referenced in an Avaya CM 5.2 manual. And it is so weird that I never ran into this before. If an agent has a message waiting when they log in it plays a five beep tone instead of the three beep confirmation tone. How nuts is that. Three new phones, two new extension and agent login ID's, removing and adding back in, reboots of the telephone system and sleepless nights all because a message is waiting.

You rebooted your PBX?[surprise] Wow! Thx for sharing your findings.
