Hi there

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically let an agent go into auto-in mode ?

Let me explain what I want.

On a 1608 ip station.
Agent 1234 with password 5678 and skill 1
I program on
button 1 : line 1
button 2 : line 2
button 3 : line 3
button 4 : call-pkup
button 5 : autodial : *35-1234-5678 (agent logged in with one button)
button 6 : autodial : #35 (log off)
button 7 : aux-work rc:0 Grp :1506 (this is another hunt)
button 8 : q-calls Grp : 1506

I want this station to be
- part of a normal hunt group (1506) with button 7+8
- part of EAS if needed with button 5+6

So there is little room for the auto-in and aux-work buttons. In this case I would only need two buttons to use EAS.

We have over 800 1608 stations and to give everyone an agent login is would be very expensive because of the licenses.

Any ideas ?

You could try setting the hunt group as an auto-available hunt group, (as with IVR equipment). But then aux-work buttons will not work.

You would only be able to use login and logout. This can cause problems with agents who are trying to logout when there are calls in queue.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Try an auto in button on the Agent's phones. Not manual in.
