I am trying to determine in Excel the age an employee WAS on 9/15/04 based on their birthday stored in cell D2. Comparing Month and Day is very important to me. Can someone help?

Have a look at the FAQ on DAteDiff in the FAQs section

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

=DATEDIF(D2,A2,"y")&" Years "&DATEDIF(D2,A2,"ym")&" Months"

Where D2 is the birthdate and A2 is the date you want compared to.
