I'm still looking for a call accounting that will support multiswitch Definity IP network. One central site and several remotes tight together over IP Trunks. The central site has PSTN connectivity and all remotes use this switch to go off-net (toll bypass, whatever you want to call it).
I need to use the CDR over IP functionality using the CLAN boards. The call accounting has to be able to record the international calls for each switch and prefereably by extension number of each switch.

I contacted Veramark but they are not sure if they can do this, they asked me if they will see the originating and terminating ANIs in the CDRs.

If anyone has experience with this, using either Veramarks ECAS or any other call accounting please respond. Much appreciated.

Do you need a Full featured CDR package? or just the data?
There are packages that will just output the stream into a (delimited) output file.
You can read this into a database, or even into a CDR package if they support this.
an example of such package is TCPfile by taltech.
In later releases you can set up a custom output on the CDR
settings on the definity, assigning fields like the ANI's

Hope this helps,

Rob

pthegreat, I have the eCAS connectivity guide that I could fax you so you could see how to set it up. I was told that you can't do any data imports into eCAS.

Slowly, I get more information on this subject. It seems that the Definity uses a specific protocol for the CDR over IP called "Definity Reliable Session Protocol". The problem is that Veramark only supports the "unformatted" format for CDR's, and thus I can't use the "custom" format and define fields to output in the CDR's.

I don't know if Veramark has implemented the Reliable Session Protocol in their software, or if they use a standalone package like "TCPFile" and then import the text file.
Does anyone know a Call Accounting package that is more flexible, and can customize the fields in the CDR's?
Thanks,
Peter.
