After Splitting Slow Opening and Moving DB

I came across your post when trying to find a solution to the same problem.
Previously my database was accessed via a shared folder on the server; now I have created a BE on the server and a FE on each workstation C Drive. It is runnin soooooo slowly that it is impractical to use.
Sorry I cant offer a solution but hopefully someone out there can???
