I thought this was a problem w/ some questionable SCSI drives that I pulled from a crashed server, apparently not as this is the 3rd time this has happened.

The base install is fine, I've rebooted and the machine comes back up no problems, but as soon as SP1 is installed and reboots it goes thru post and the scsci controller finds the disks but then it goes to pxe boot as if the HD's werent found.

Again, I've tried this 3 times now. Has anyone else had this problem, google hasnt turned up much to assist with this.

You haven't mentioned what type of server, raid card, SCSi drive you are using. I would check with the server vendor first to see if there any known issues

Sorry, should have listed that.

It's an old machine, simply for testing.
ISP-1100
700 MHZ
512 Ram
Adaptec 3940 SCSI Controller
2 st39102lw scsi drives

Just found out something odd, as long as I have the W2K3 CD in the CD tray, it will boot. Otherwise it goes straight to PXE boot.
