I have moved my DB to a new SQL 7.0 SP4 server. I restored the DB from the old server backup to the new (I have also tried the import feature). I recreated user logins and set security on DB identical to the old server(Public, DB reader/writer). I am able to read all data but not able to write data. I have tried making user DB Admin - no luck. Please Help!!

How are you entering data? What errors are you getting?

I get no errors. I am able to click into a field and have the cursor move but when I try to type - it just beeps at me. Nothing else happens.

Thank You. I checked this out before my post. I did have orphaned users. I have corrected them and still have issues.

Did you relink after moving the database? Does the table have a primary key, unique contraint, or timestamp column. Access requires this before updates are allowed in linked tables. If you want to get the best answer for your question read faq183-874 and thread183-468158.
