After a bit of Advice -Crystal and Excel

Hi all,

Crystal 8.5

I'm not sure how possible this is and wonder if anyone has done a similar thing. I want to export 2 reports into one spreadsheet by hopefully clicking something in Excel(VB Button) which will pull in the 2 reports on seperate work sheets. If I can find a way of doing this then I have another button that runs some advanced macro's to de-dupe between the 2. Any advice or help much apreciated regarding bringing 2 sets of data from reports.

Why are you using Crystal at all?

Excel has a query facility, so you can just bring in the data and then do what's required within.

At any rate, you can run Crystal Reports from within Excel, and even have them export, and then read the contents into a spreadsheet, and then do whatever you think you need Excel for.

Here are the sample vba apps (for Access but you can use something akin in Excel as MS Office products all use the same VBA language):
