After effects 6.5 give me this error when i try to import some audio footage file in an actual project. I´ve been searching in several forums and tried various solutions like actualization of quick time and video card driver and open gl stuffs. please if somebody know something else ...

AE has crashed (0 :: 42) !!!!

if your footage is MP3, After Effects can occasionally experience trouble trying to import it.
If the audio is a WinAmp or other non-QT based audio, that could also effect the ability of AE to properly import it.
For best results, convert the audio to WAV, AIFF or QT file first.
It won't be OpenGL or Video Card. It may be your sound card, but I think that it would be the file's format first.

i had an "P4 P800 E DELUXE" motherboard and the sound card is on-board. I´ve try to import several audio format files and the trouble continue. the same one. says: "AE has crashed (0 :: 42)" and give me the chance to save the project and after that collapse. I´m using a secon pc to add the audio to the projects and finalize all my works but is truely hard this workflow. another info that maybe you can apreciate is that my system is working with a second crt monitor and extended desktop.
