AE 6.5 aborts at program start 1

My AE 6.5 aborts when I start the program. The AE opening window displays and when the process at the left bottom corner reaches "Cleaning up - OpenGL 3D" the program exits. I've been using this AE version for over a year and suddenly it won't run. I'm not sure if I've installed a new software that conflicts with its settings.

My graphics adapter is NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420. I tried tweaking the settings but to no avail. The computer is a Dell Dimension 4550, Pentium4 2.0 GHz with 768MB RAM and about 200 GB hard disk. It has Win XP Home Edition 2002 SP2.

Will appreciate your help.

Remove the OpenGL plugin.

Actually, removing the OpenGL plugin worked. I also got the latest driver from NVIDIA and installed it.
