Has anybody experienced this problem before? and how to fix this issue?

Thanks,
Henry

Sorry, forget to mention the spec for this box:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 3 (Taroon Update 3)
Kernel 2.4.21-20.EL on an ia64

what are you trying to install? This is an application issue and the provider should respond you. We installed Oracle Applcation Server some time ago in a RedHat ES 3.0 and had lots of problems, finally, the issue was to uncompress some file (don't remember which one) and leave them where the error said... so the problem was that installer didn't install all pieces of the application.

Cheers.

It looks like you have to install the java runtime environment, or the new app doesn't know where java is.

I would add the path to java into your local environment and try to re-run the install.

Good luck,
Mark

Thanks Guys, looks like this is an issue related to the version of JVM.
