Hi,

I need to replace the 008 module in Slot # 4 with a 400 GS/LS/TTR due to TTR starvation on my system. There are a few extensions programmed onto it, but they are not being used. Does anyone see anything dangerous about this? I want to avoid having to reprogram all of the extensions if possible.

Thanks for your help. (report data edited for readablity)

You will need to reprogram/renumber all of the extentions after the 008 card - because the extention numbering will change as soon as you replace the 008 with the 400 TTR and do a board renumber. The extention numbering after the 400 will start with whatever was on the original 008 and so on - with all of the extention ports to the right of the newly added 400 card.

Thanks as always Tom.

That's what I was afraid of.

Would the extension programming remain constant? ie after renumbering, and reconnecting the port to the corresponding phone, will the labeling, buttons, etc still be valid, or will everything need to be reprogrammed?

Bill

The buttons should not change - just the extention numbers - and - if the phones were in groups - it will mess up the members in the groups.

I see why they moved away from this product. Stable but don't try to change anything once programed LOL

For a great deal less heartburn and problems, just replace the 012 Module in slot 10 with an 016-TTR, which has 4 TTR's.

That is, if your processor is new enough.

Thanks, I'm running a 3.1 which won't support the 016-TTR.

I think I'll just need to bite the bullet and make a weekend of it.

Bill
