We have a package that gets manually installed from the client side. This package use to install very quickly (20 mins, but for some reason the installation now take over 2 hrs. What could possibly cause this in SMS? Is there a limit in SMS that says only allow X computers to pull this package down to them at a time?

thank you for any advise

There isn't a limit that I am aware of. You can look at the share properties and see if there is a maximum allowed limit set. Your saying that a package that used to take 20 minutes to install now takes over 2 hrs? Did anything change with the package? We had this problem once and it ended up being a network issue. Have your network guys run a sniff.

No, nothing changed on the package at all. We are going thru a major company wide deployment (127MB). I wonder if there are clients at remote sites that are not pulling from their site server and are actually trying to download this 127MB files over that wan.
Is there a document out there to show the best layout for SMS Primary/Secondary servers? I can use some clarification on our design.
