We are currently migrating from CE9 to BOXI and will be using infoview as the tool for our users to view the reports. We've heard of an Advanced HTML option where the users are able to further refine a report but are unsure of how it works (where to find it etc.)
Could someone please shed some light.

Thanks

CE 9 had various viewers as well.

But the users don't refine the report that I know of.

There are ways to build reports on the fly using RAS technology (not sure the current name for it), perhaps you should state what you would like or expect to do.

The Advanced DHTML viewer has additional filter/search options in it. For example, you can select a specific field that's on the report and tell it that you only want to see records with a specific value in that field. In the search feature in the other viewers, you can only enter the value you're looking for and the viewer will take you to the first record where that value appears anywhere on the report (subsequent searches take you to the next record, etc.)

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

BusinessObjects XI has a Crystal Reports Explorer (an add-on to Professional, comes with Premium) that allows one to create/modify reports in a zero-client environment.
