I am using act 2005 ver. 7 and I am trying to save a new layout that I received from a friend.I would in to view and edit the payout. I was told to put the adt files in this dir:to My Computer > C; > Program Files > ACT > Layout, But there is not layout dir. Can you help me please.does act work with iffce 12? if you can you help me set it up if need.

WhenI click on one of the files it says to install word but ms office 12 is installed.Help me please

Hello KingTech,
This "Layout" is sounding more like a mail-merge document created in Word than an actual layout to display ACT! fields.

If your friend sent you this layout do you have the exact same fields in your ACT! database as he does? Layouts are used to display ACT! database fields.

What is the full file name of the document (layout)?

This will help me to see if it is a mail-merge document or an actual layout.

Regards,
Michael

i did not actually make a act database yet.Would that be the reason y I can not find where to put the file. The file is call Absenteeism ltr to Prospects.ADT. So Should I make a Act File, database first? or what? What should be my first move?
