Hi, I've been having some difficulties with my home wireless network. I have an ADSL telus line, shared via a wireless network throughout my house. The problem that i have is that certain sites (station.sony.com, ebay.com) don't load whereas others, like this site, google, and others load. I was just wondering what my problem is, and if you know of a solution.
Thanks

For your situation you may have to use the full URL eg: You can also see if you can ping ebay.com, this will return to you their ip address which you can put into your browser, if the sight comes up with the ip address then you have a DNS problem if it doesn't then you may have a routing problem with your ISP to the unreachable domains.

sbcasi has answered your question, but I just wanted to emphasize his point.

A web site does not have to register a nor if it has a registered does it have to register a domain name without the required.

Many do both entries for DNS purposes. Many do only 1.

Try both forms if there is a problem.
