After years of trouble free connection I came home after a weekend away to find I had no ADSL connection. The status in Network Connections said it was connected and the modem power and signal lights were green, but I had to disconnect then connect to get back on line.
Same thing happened 15 minutes later, with same work around.
My ISP got me to change modem and drivers with no success. They checked the line quality and all was fine.
They seem to have run out of ideas now, so I’m looking to move to another ISP, but don’t want to do so without at least having an idea of what the cause of the problem could be.
Anybody have any suggestions as to the possible cause? Or even better a possible solution?
