Greetings,

Inserting a table using Adobe 3.0 into PM7 in which the Adobe Table 3.0 preview mode looks fine. After closing out of same, text in table is squished in the PM7 publication.

I have checked for common mistakes, but this one eludes me...
What can I do to normalize the text to match the surrounding text (Book Antiqua 14 point native to my WinXP system)?

From the experience of many other people, Table has all sorts of problems. It seems as though it is better to either (1) create the table directly in PM itself, or (2) create it in Word and make a PDF of the table then use File>Place to get it into PM. Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure, but the hassle of using Table is just too great.

Eggles,

Thanks. It took some wrestling, but I finally had to go to Adobe Table 3.0 and make the main text 11 point and the spacing 14 point (ugly, i know) and then when the table was nesting in PM7, I gently re-sized to where the text began to kern and space corretly albeit at a smaller font size. It is more legible, but a bit smaller.

Now for the next hurdle, I can't get PM7 to create a proper TOC without it displaying wildy large text and using the headers as part of the TOC.

Any clues?

Thanks

You need to go into your styles setup and change the parameters of the fonts, sizes, etc.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
