Which from previous Adobe Illustrator versions has better performance(less crashes)and use less resources?

It may be ideal to ask on the Illustrator forum.

Why ask the question? You cannot purchase the older versions anymore and if you already had them, you could determine which works best on your system.

I would wager that '88 or version 3 may use the least resources. [bigsmile]

Hmm, I think its wrong. You can purchase and get *any* previous version. As far I know, many users who tried latest AI version, do downgrade to a previous versions.

Adobe only sells the latest version of its software, just like every software company. If users buy an upgrade and decide not to use it, the old version will still work as long as they deactivate the newer one.

I dont know where you got such strange info, but it completely wrong. You can get any_version_you_need - that better suit your needs.

Where do you get any version you need? This thread lacks intelligence. But I guess this was already apparent in the Photoshop forum.

Look for store having a blow-out sale, clearance sale, on eBay, for example. You can buy there old versions for less then half price or much cheaper and save a heap of money.

I saw somewhere recently v.10 its only 70 buks.. pretty cheap

Because I need get .AI files. around 50 buks for ver. 10, 11 not bad. There's no need to upgrade if you can buy for 50 buks.

To get that software for that cheap, you have to hunt around a lot for someone selling a legitimate license. Most of the licenses you see online for these prices are for pirated copies. If you don't care about properly licensed apps, paying a pirate $50 is dumb. You might as well get it for free. And if pirated software was your goal, then such discussion should not be happening on these forums.

>Most of the licenses you see online for these prices are for pirated copies.
Completely wrong deduction. Why you tell about "pirated copies"? Most people are happy to buy cheap software. Why they need to pay 500 buks for newest one(very buggy, buy the way) whereas they can get previous vers. for 50-60 buks?
If you can't find proper cheap software, that's your problem.

Where are you finding these cheap deals? Please post a link or acknowledge your silliness.

Jimoblak: Give it up. This guy selenius is a turkey.
