I am pulling my hair out, I have scanned a document that has areas to be filled in. I know i can use the "typewritten" key to do so but would love to be albe to convert this scan to an interactive pdf where fields that are to be filled in are highlighted in blue. Not sure on how to do this. Can anyone assist?

I'm not sure about Acrobat Standard, but in Acrobat Professional, there's a feature under "Forms:Create New Form" which will automatically create form fields for an existing PDF. It does a pretty decent job for the most part, but you may have to fix a few of the fields in areas where it doesn't auto recognize the field name/space.

If you don't have that feature, you will probably have to create the form fields yourself (I'm assuming that the Standard version of Acrobat allows you to create form fields). They're under "Tools:Forms:TextField Tool" for the text field (there are other fields there).

thanks a ton Mark, will give this a try. Great website and fantastic networking for us all!
