%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

I've checked and I am not using Arial Unicode (which is a standard reason for this error).

I've narrowed the problem down in that the report header column is using text with vertical alignment (text running top down). When I remove it, it PDFs fine. Any ideas on how to correct this without having to completely reformat the report?

Thanks - Lainie

I don't have an answer to your problem, but I am experiencing the same problem. We are trying to print an Access report to PDFMaker with vertical text as well. Are you using Office XP? I uninstalled Office XP on a test machine and installed Office 2000. Am am able to print this report fine in Access 2000 without making changes to Adobe 5.05. I will keep you posted if I find an answer and hope you can help me as well.

I uninstalled Office Xp and ran the Office Resource Kit to completely remove any traces of Office. I then installed Offic e Xp using the Typical install. I was doing the Complete install before. This allowed me to print this document. I'm not sure as to what is being installed with the Complete install, but this was the fix in my case.

I am getting the same error in 7.0.2 only when using vertical text in Access reports (Office XP on Win XP SP2).
So far Adobe tech says the problem has only been documented on Dell PCs (really); he referred the bug to an engineer who is supposed to call back within 48 hours. The bug is in the PostScript software. If you are still interested I will post a reply when I get one!

Just got off the phone with the Acrobat guy. The "Typical"
reinstall is the only solution being offered. There will be no patch or update for download made available. In other words, their engineers cannot or will not identify the problem and fix it. Unfortunate for those of us who just spent $1100 on 4 copies of their software. Hope CompUSA has a liberal return policy. Looks we will go back to using snapshots (at least they are included in Office, and will work).
Regrets,
Geno

Im sorry, I am having the same problem(s) but do not understand your fixes. Are you saying to reinstall office using the typical install? or reinstall acrobat 7 using the typical install.

Thanks for the help!
Ben

benjydog. In my case, I reinstalled Office XP using the Typical install.
