When I attempt to open a recordset using VB code I get the following error:

"The database has been placed in a state by user 'Admin' on machine 'Steve' that prevents it from being opened or locked."

Am using MS Access 2000. I am not logged in as admin. When I created this database I did not put any locks or controls on it to cause this. What do I have to change the state of this database?

Thank you,
Steve

compact the database. If it lets you. If not reboot the machine where the database is stored, then delete the .ldb file and try again.
