ADO Control - 3027 Read Only error 1

When the VB front end program runs I get an error stating that my database is a read-only. I have linked VB and Microsoft Access before and it ran succesfully. The properties for the ADO control are correct and the properties to the database file itself says it is an archive file. I am hoping this is something stupid that I am missing. Please Help!!

make sure you have the proper security setting on the DB first...then check your connection string and make sure thats ok...if your using jet make sure you have the lasted and the lasted service pack....try rebuilding the DB...make sure you have the right Jet SP before doing this though...i have heard or problem of indexes getting reindexed.

The VB software from Caterpillar, the company I work for, was missing files or something. I brought in my software from home and installed it. Everything worked great after that. Thank you for your advice.
