Migrating from NT domain to AD. Using ADMT to migrate computers. First off, someone tell me the difference between "People" and "Users" in AD. I migrated all accounts from NT domain and put them in "People" on the AD. Are they supposed to be in "Users"?
Next: Run ADMT to migrate computers. Each computer has user profiles (over 900 computers, mostly 2K and XP). Help me understand - isn't the ADMT supposed to modify the user's profile so they can still access it after they log on to the new AD domain? Because if so, it don't work. I checked all the boxes, but it doesn't work. Can someone recommend some good reading? My employer is honest-to-God too cheap to pay for any training and I'm too poor to do it myself. Thanks!
