I'm trying to change the administrator mailbox password because basically we don't know what the current one is.

I've gone into Voice mailbox configuration and selected the administrator mailbox. Clicked on change where you then get a password box. However if I try to input a passcode in to that box it comes up with a pop up box saying "You cannot modify the administrator mailbox". Another box is also there saying "Please wait... Range programming is currently executing. You will be notified when it's complete".

So what am I doing wrong? I only want to set the password?

There is a way to get the admin passwords from the controller via FTP. I found it a while ago when I had the same issue. I will see what I can dig out and PM you if I can find it.

So in that post it says the passwodes are located here...

3300_icp\vmail\temp\db\backup\vmail\0000PARM.BIN

I take it that is a ftp location? I looked on my ftp location though and I couldn't find any of those folders. Am I looking in the wrong place?

Anyone?

The post says in the backup file, Take a back up of your system and then open with winrar

I was able to successfully retrieve the VM admin password on our 3300 that was setup by another user thanks to that post. It's stored in that BIN file in plain text.
