One of our Windows 2000 servers gives the following error message when the administrator tries to open Administrative Tools: "This function only available for installed applications" or something like that. This only recently started on a server that's been running without complication for about 2 years. Anybody have an idea what happened or how to resolve? I'm going to try and reinstall the operating system, absent any bright ideas from someone else.

Doesn't sound familiar, but you might try posting the exact message you get.
