I am using iso c110-11.0.4100.11.iso for the installation
VMWare 6.7.0
HP Proliant gl160 gen10

I have the host setup for 64 bit (tried 32 as well) CentOS 6

The installation runs fine. On reboot, I get a kernel pacnic. 'Not syncing - attempted to kill init'

Does anyone have any suggestions on what settings I am missing or should be using?
Maybe a different iso?
Is there another VMHost setting I should be using or maybe someone knows that this will never work which would save me years as well.

Thanks.

Neither of the above. VMware install is only supported using the OVA (you can use the ISO for subsequent upgrades but not the initial installation, there are some differences about what gets installed and virtual drive partitioning).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
