Admin Password on Wlan 2211 phone

A previous user set up an admin password on a 2211 wirless phone and the current user doesn't know what it is. I have tried several different combinations but with no luck.
Any ideas on how to override this admin password on the set so I can get to restore the defaults?

try deregistering the set and then register it back

Thanks for your input, however,The phone belongs to one of our sites down south so that is not something that I can do.

I am trying to restore the defaults on the phone and cannot get beyond the admin password.
The phone has a flash config error and will clear once I restore the defaults.

Have you tried to read the set with "config cradle", i guess that's the only way to read the password or at least reset it to default.

Oh Yes!! Tried everything I could. Since it is a Flash config error, it gives me "Unable to determine PT type" message.

You should start your own thread... and v3 is not supported on Bcm's.

Can someone help me with this problem, I have the same and I just can't figure out how to resolve it.
I have the "flash config err" msg on my phone, bought the 2211 cradle and I have to software to configure the phone but when I try to push to config to the phone I get the error message "Unable to determine PT type" message"

I'm sure I don't need to send the phone over the compagny.

Hi there,
See if you can restore defaults on the phone and then try to burn the new software onto the phone.
Hold the red and green buttons down and then let off on the green button.
Restore defaults should be the 4th choice down.
