Hi,

as above Admin password changed so now I am unable to login to database (EC-2005).. where is this password located so I can change it ....

Thanks

Hi.

Usually in newer versions of ARCserve the admin user is called caroot. And you change his password with ca_auth.exe (I not 100% sure of the exact file name).

What version of ARCserve are you fighting with?

there is also the ARCserve System Account which is set in the ARCserve Server Admin.

Have you more detailed info on how you try to access the database. Is it with the vldbutilities (like dbcheck, dbfix) or is it when you open the Arcserve manager?
Import is not to confuse the different accounts:

Arcserve system account: is OS related (ex and NT-account)
caroot: is an account of the brightstor domain and available since BEB 10.5
Database account: for vldb utils is always fixed (
which of the accounts are you talking about?
