Admin Console Access Questions

I have a question. After federating a node with an application server, into the Deployment manager, I am unable to access the admin console of the application server. I can access the admin console of the Deployment Manager just fine.

Is this how its supposed to be? Does access to the admin console of the application server get blocked when you federate it with a NDM? And if so, why?

yes. once you federate the base to the network deployment, obviously, the control will be from the Network deployment.
There will be a node agent installed on the Base and the DMGR in the network deployment speaks to it. Evrthing is fine in your case.
