When uses run reports from upfront the coulmns in the pdf reports generated are sometimes not wide enough to show all the text and it cuts the text. How can I get these columns to automatically adjust.
I dont want wrapping.

If you open the impromptu report and right click on the column(s)-> properties -> size tab -> change teh width to scan data for best width -> change teh rows to 99999.

This will automatically resize the columns, although you should be aware that the rendering to PDF odes not always resize correctly and you will ave to manually set the column width in impromptu.

Thanks Gary, you answered my question in the first part pf your post.

In the second part when you say, "not always", how often do you think that is the case ?

In my experience I have found that date columns do not size very well and I always manually set them 0.5 cm over the maximum size i.e.

set column to scan for best with - click ok - then change back to specify width and add 0.5cm
