Hey all,
I just found a connection stat that shows someone plugged in an unrecognized laptop on my network. I don't have any software (at this time) that will tell me where it hooked up so I'm looking through my switch address tables trying to find the laptop's MAC address. On my 25XX switches I can pull up the address table and scroll to find a MAC address. On my 28XX switches I have to check each port individually to see what MAC address is running through it. Is there an Address Table option hidden somewhere in my 28XX switches like in my 25XX switches? AND, can anyone recommend an inexpensive program for network management that will tell me what plugged in where? I work for a non-profit so there isn't much $$$ for this stuff. I'm getting into Linux to see what's available there too. I've tried installing Zenoss on Ubuntu but not having much luck. Thanks for any and all help.
Thanks,
Joe B
