The only thing is our IT department cannot download information or URLS. If you have any other method please let me know.

Thanks

Your addresses are probably stored all in UPPER CASE because that is the format that is required by the USPS.

The complete list of standards required by the USPS are found starting on Page 11 in this PDF file -

If you are creating mailing-labels, envelopes, or letters you should be using the UPPER CASE values.

Also..."our IT department cannot download information or URLS" --- how the hell do you get anything done???

Good points, all, MJRBIM.

However with personalized mailings most houses still prefer the look of mixed case, deeming it more personal with a better likelihood of getting opened.

You can create a loop to iterate through the characters and use mixed case for everything after the first character, but you're best served to fire your IT Manager, failing that, get someone to send it to an email account for you.

Check my profile for an email if you'd like me to do so.

MJRBIM and Synapsevampire,

Thank for the funny, yet helpful advice. I am going to try to create a loop, and then see what happens.

Loop your IT Manager with a garote, and...

It dawned on me that you might be able to leverage your database's propercase function in a SQL Expression if it has one.

For better results, try posting technical information in the future, such as Crystal and database version .
