Johnny
virtulahost get me lost.

If I understand correctly, you want to set up a subdomain for your daughter. This would be a subdomain of whatever domain apache is already working with - something like (intentionally used .con instead of .com)

hi smah . I was reading and now know that I have to make up the subdomain from one of my Domain names that I have over at godaddy.then get the DNS and NS and put that at the company [dyndns ] that i use to keep my ip the same.And then forward the subdomain from godaddy to poing to my Domain in apache. {??? i guess thats how it will work. ?? }
and then fill out the rest of virtualhost.
If you see that im wrong here please let me know.
I know that ill be going nuts.
Thanks
Johnny.
I would love to set a small site up for her and her husband.

Not quite that complex.

Go to godaddy's control panel for the TLD (top level domain) name that you're using. In the 'Total DNS Control' section, add a CName (alias) for kristy and point it to your dynamic dns name.

The rest is configuring apache's virtualhosts.

I got that all set,everything is working fine
all it was was the UpDater for my ips to stay the same.
I forgot all about it. ha ha ha
tks all
Johnny
