Hi, I originally started with two lines, and had entered in #104=2. The manual warns against using #104 later when adding lines. I have now added a third line, and I just cannot figure out how to get the third line button (third from left in row above Intercom buttons) to respond and behave like it is associated with the third trunk line. I am thinking I may have to use #104=3 and then just re-configure the fields that the manual says will be overwritten by changing #104 midstream. Can anyone help? Thanks.

#301-{Extension Number}-{Line Number}-1 (assigns the line, with Immediate Ring, to the next available button on the phone)

Or use 3 instead of 1, then you can select the button to put it on by pressing the button.

Do this for each phone, or do it for one phone and use #399 to copy from your model extension to the others.

Thanks for your response. When I try to change the line assignment on L03 (or even on L01 or L02) I get a beep and it refuses to come off of "2 Not Assigned". I will add that I am using Hybrid mode. Line Access Mode on the extension in question is set to "1 Pool" since I want the extension to grab any available outside when when making an outgoing call. I have a fax machine on one extension, and its extension is set to Line Access Mode is "2 Key". I can assign L03 to it, but not to the extensions that are set to LAM=Pool. If I change one of the extensions with LAM=Pool to LAM=Key I can assign L03, but when I put it back to LAM=Pool and try to edit the program the extension, only L01 and L02 are active on the buttons and the button that should be for L03 shows "Blank" when I press it. Does this help you figure out how I can get out of this? Thanks.

You can also use #207 to add a line to a specific pool as long as you know the pool number (2= main pool 880, 3=881, 4=882 , 5=883).

Ok, thanks. I'll try it. As far as you know, I should just note the settings for #301 and #302 Auto Line Sel and Line Ringing and then reproduce them afterwards, right?

You shouldn't even need to worry about those in pool mode. Only in key mode.
