Hello

I've put together a basic timesheet - time in, time out, breaks taken.

The addition of time worked over the week is fine. It's the calculation of the time worked over the period that's the problem.

Each 4 week work period is 148 hours.

The person will normally work 37 hours.

So in period 1 if O18 is 147:03 and O19 is 148:00 then O20 is 0:57 - the worker owes 57 minutes.

But in period 2, 018 is 150:15 and O19 is 148:00 but all I'm getting in O20 is #####, it's not calculating that the worker has done extra hours.

I've had a look on Google, but it all looks rather complicated. At the end of the year I want to add up all the period totals to see if the worker owes time or needs to be paid for extra time.

Can anyone assist?

Hi,

A negative Date/Time value will be displayed as #######.

Use an IF() function to make the determination and display the time value appropriately.

just a quick addition to this - you can also set calculation to use 1904 date system in xl's options

;-)
If a man says something and there are no women there to hear him, is he still wrong? [ponder]
How do I get the best answers?
