I have a mysterious issue regarding adding a printer remotely using unc path of the server (\\server name then pick the printers and faxes), the user is member of the print operators group that have log on locally, load and unload drivers, shut down server rights. If this user log on locally he can install the printer, however, can not do the installation using the unc path. it says you do not have sufficient rights to add the printers
Thanks,

Sounds like you gave the user a local ID (would have to be to login locally right?).

Add their Domain ID to the same groups and they should be OK. The problem I believe is that the local ID does not have rights to the network shares.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

Regards,

Mark

mark,
It is not the local id issue, I belive there are some issues with MS security template for the F/P servers.

I have given the power user right to the user and it is working now.
thanks for your post.
