I work for a newspaper using chatterbox, which has 16 inbound analog ports in a hunt tree coming from an 81C. chatterbox IVR inbound ports apparently need more reset time. I there a way to provide a buffer point. Possibly throttle the percentage of ports to 14 keeping a percentage open allowing for refresh. Will not reject any advice at this point.

might set that up as an analog acd group, that will load share a lot better then hunt.

If the IVR system is capable of dialing the acd login codes then John's suggestion works.

You didn't say what software release you have.
If you are 3.00 or newer then you can set up a Group Hunt list which will allow a round-robin hunt instead of linear. Each new incoming call will be presented to a different DN in the group.
You could also set Call Forward No Answer Back to the Group Hunt DN so if a port isn't ready or faulty it can still be answered by another port.

CLS LDTA on the TN should hold it from being hit long enough for the box to reset.

The LDTA duration can be extended in LD15 at the LDTT prompt for up to 30 seconds
