Ok.
[ol]
[li]Select the bit of picture 1 that you want, using the selector tool of your choice. Sometimes it's easier to select what you
don't want and then invert it - say it's a photo of somebody standing in front of a plain background, you can use the magic wand to select the background, then invert the selection from the Selection menu (don't have PSP to hand at the moment to give you the precise menu option).[/li]
[li]Having made your selection, it's often a good idea to "feather" it, so as not to get such hard, jagged edges. I think it's in the menus as Selection>Modify>Feather.[/li]
[li]Select Edit>Copy from the menu (or press Ctrl+C on the keyboard) to copy the selection to the clipboard.[/li]
[li]Open picture 2.[/li]
[li]Select Edit>Paste from the menu - it will show various ways of pasting the selection into the image. I usually go for "Paste as new layer" (or Ctrl-L), as this makes it easy to manipulate the new addition seperately to the underlying image. If you're not comfortable with layers, do a "Paste as new selection" (Ctrl-E, I think).[/li]
[li]Either way, you should be able to push it around with your mouse.[/li]
[/ol]
Does that make sense?
