Hello,

I'm preparing to install a new tape drive into a SDLT320.
I do know these commands, are there anything else that is useful for what I need..

inquire, jbconfig...

thanks.

Depending on what version of NetWorker, use jbedit instead of jbconfig

We have Legato 6.1 and jbedit doesn't exist... what would be the previous command..

How to proceed for a upgrade of Networker 6.1 to 7.1 and without lost of the entire inventory, thank you for your help, is very appreciate it.

No equivilant, in the 6.x world in order to add a drive you have to delete the entire jukebox and readd it using jbconfig.

for the 2nd question below, do you have any suggestion ?

thks

If by inventory you mean the inventory of the jukebox, I don't recall having to reinventory the jb after the upgrade.

If by inventory you mean databases and configuration, this should not be an issue. Generally, make sure you have a good, full backup before doing the upgrade, then simply follow the install guide which has an update section. Be careful in 7.x, as licenses that were not previously enforced now are.

You will never lose your datebases when you upgrade. So dn not worry about your configuration etc.
