I am currently setting up a CS1000S system, with a Call Server, Signaling Server and MG1000S and a bunch of i2004s. I have all of the components now with an IP address and now need to know how to setup a new node under IP Telephony using the Element Manager.
Firstly, not entirely sure what this is used for.
Right now there are no nodes present.
Can anyone give me an idea, maybe screenshot of how things should look. Which cards need to be present per node.

Thanks

Mathew

Why did you configured 2 nodes on the same PBX?
The main use to have more than 1 node is for redundancy purposes (never need to do unless you have 2 SS+ MC) or to give a Node to a CUST: CUST 0 node 10 - CUST 1 node 11....

In 1 node you may have at least 1 SS leader+1 MC

I do not have any nodes on the same PBX. I need to setup 1 node do I not?

Sorry for all the questions, but our reseller basically bailed on us and now I have to try to configure this thing and we have deadlines. Forgot to mention that I also have two digital phones M39xx series.

Thanks
Mathew

Not so easy to guide you...
Paste and copy from the existing site with node configured.

Basically:
LD 117
NEW HOST
CHG ELNK ACTIVE

Element manager
Node configuration - Add and take model from the existing one

This is a brand new install. No upgrade from existing system. If that what you meant by
Element manager
Node configuration - Add and take model from the existing one

Element manager is the web page to configure and manage IP system. Need to have a SigServ. If none, CLI commands are to be used or OTM or any administration application.

If you don't know anything about it, you will just need to run a 5 weeks training at Nortel... that's all... or ask for a tech to configure your system
