Adding new extensions to our TDA-200

Hello, I administrate a Panasonic TDA-200 using the Panasonic Maintenance Console via USB, but for the love of me, I can't seem to find out how you add new extensions to the system.

I can see the list of wired and portable extensions, but don't seem to be able to add a new one in there. I want to add a portable phone to our system, and want the directory number to be the same as the current wired phone. This person wants two phones, one for his desk, and one to walk about with, while having the same directory number.

do you have a dect stations on the system, if you do make a portable station (any number) in configuration > portable ststion and register it.

then under extensions settings option 1( wireless xdp) enter the portable extension number in the box for the extension you want it to be the same number as.

I added a new portable extension, tried giving it the existing number, but the PBX refused to take it. So I gave it a different extension and went to extension settings, and I wasn't able to give a different number there. I also tried registering the phone, but wouldn't work.

I was meant to add, we do use DECT phones, and that is what I am trying to add (Panasonic KX-TCA175)

you cant give it an existing number, you give it a new number and then under extensions settings > option 1 tab, see( wireless xdp) and enter the new portable extension number in the box for the extension you want it to be the same number as.

I go to the Option 1 tab, and it doesn't allow me to enter a different extension. I can enter a new description, but not extension.

You don't change the number you add dect number in column marked wireless xdp
It then becomes the same number as the digital extension

There is no column that says Wireless XDP. The only columns there are numerous ones for Forwards and DNDs.

I've also realised that I didn't register the phone to the PBX (only programmed it in the PBX), and when I try to register, the phone registration just times out.

FWIW, we are using Panasonic Management Console V5.

what version software is on the system? ver 2 has wireless xdp on extensions> main tab
do you have other dect phones on the system.
you will need to have the system looking for the cordless through configration> portable station> registeration
