My company orginally had an outside vendor setup our Call manager and they used to manage it as well. Well they severed that link so, I have been put in charge of this and have a question.

I have order some new DID numbers as we need another block.

Currently we use a 402-829-45xx number but the numbers we had to get are 402-492-19xx. The phone company has them goign to us but when I assgin it to a phone it says the number is a non working numnber. Is ther something special I need to do in Call Manager to all the new setup of numbers to be routed?

Thanks
Toby

Just an update as I forgot this information. The line coming is a PRI, and we are using CM 4

debug the gateway (debug isdn q931) with terminal monitor active and place a call in on one of the new did's. Verify it is getting the the router.

How many digits are you receiving?

Second you may need to build a translation depending on your dialing plan.

Some people are like slinkies.
Not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

I will run that. We are receiving 4 digits from the phone company. We tried to change it to 10 digits and all we got was a fast busy until they moved it back to 4 digits.

go to route plan then rout plan report and put 19 in the search box this will tell you if these 19xx numbers are already programmed... A lot of vendors use them for integration to voice mail or cti route points
if so ask the phone company for another range of numbers

There was not any. I put in a translation pattern. Not sure if i set it up correctly or not.

Let us know!!!

let you know what?

There was no route plans in the report for 19xx other than what I put in for the translation pattern but the probably still presiste. I get a message when ic all the number that it is a non working number.

You were saying that you did not know if your translation were correct or not.

I was just stating that if you need further assistance to let us know....
