A client of mine is going to replace this server next year, but they still want me to upgrade the Gb NIC.

The problem is that when I install it, the Poweredge will not power up. No lights, no fan, no beeps, nothing. It's as if the power cable isn't plugged in (I checked that one of course ;-)

As soon as I take out the NIC, the server boots up fine. I've tried several slots. The NIC itself doesn't cause any problems when inserted in a desktop computer.

Nevermind. Already got it running.

PCI slot 6 was the only one I could use it in. I've read from other people who had succes with slot 1, 2 and 6.
